Lithology and Thickness
The Tin Meras Fm. is characterized at its base by limestones and shales that transitions into sandstones in the midsection. The Frasnian Unconformity occurred between the midsection and the shaly top of the formation (Klett, 2000).

Lower contact
It conformably overlies the Orsine Fm.
